The book contains articles by school teachers created in within the framework of the program of the Odessa Society of History and Antiquities, which are devoted to the description of villages and towns of Central and Northern Bessarabia - now a number of regions of the Republic of Moldova and the Chernivtsi region of Ukraine, stored in the Institute of Manuscripts of the National Library of Ukraine.
